The Dance
Digital Art, 2024
This piece reimagines the body of Jesus Christ in a repeated, Pop Art style to critique the Catholic Church's greed, capitalism, and consumerism. By rendering Christ as a commodified, mass-produced icon, I highlight how this iconography has transformed from a symbol of humility and sacrifice into an entity that profits from faith. The vibrant, commercial colors reflect the commercialization of spirituality, questioning the tension between sacredness and spectacle in today's market-driven world.
